We’re looking for a Senior Manager or Director of Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. This leader will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting processes, managing a team responsible for the financial close and consolidation processes, and driving continuous improvement in our accounting operations.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting, with a deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS. They will lead efforts to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our accounting processes through automation and process redesign, while ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with Korean SOX. We’re looking for a Senior Manager or Director of Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. This leader will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting processes, managing a team responsible for the financial close and consolidation processes, and driving continuous improvement in our accounting operations.

Role Responsibilities:
Financial Close and Reporting
- Lead the financial close and consolidation process, including reviewing journal entries for corporate accounting areas (e.g., prepaids, fixed assets, debt, investments, leases, and SG&A).
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP in the preparation and review of consolidated financial reports and annual financial statements for investors and banks.
- Oversee the preparation and review of schedules, reporting packages, and fluctuation analyses of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Audit and Compliance
- Support quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits, liaising with external auditors, managing the preparation and review of PBC schedules, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statement footnotes.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with Korean SOX and other relevant regulations.
Process Improvement
- Drive efficiency in accounting processes through thoughtful redesign and automation, aiming to simplify, standardize, and reduce the time to close while maintaining accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance teams and business units to improve processes and controls.
Team Leadership
- Develop, manage, and mentor a diverse accounting team, fostering career development and supporting talent progression.
- Lead various ad-hoc projects as needed, including the design and implementation of end-to-end processes in collaboration with IT.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in corporate accounting, with a focus on financial close, consolidation, and reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong understanding of general corporate accounting areas, including prepaids, fixed assets, debt, investments, leases, and SG&A.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with external auditors and overseeing audit processes.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring accounting teams.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to drive process improvements through automation and redesign.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a large corporate environment (preferred).
- Familiarity with Korean SOX compliance (preferred).
- CPA designation or equivalent (preferred).
