Compensation: Base Salary ($65K-$72K) + Performance-Based Target Bonus (10%)

We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role will be instrumental in providing executive-level administrative support, supporting the maintenance of accurate financial records, and assisting in various accounting and financial planning functions. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance and accounting executives to support data analysis projects, travel & expense policy compliance, recurring financial and tax filings, and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Role Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
  • Providing executive-level administrative support to Finance and Accounting executives, including managing calls and calendars, coordinating and scheduling internal/external meetings, creating expense reports and tracking expense reimbursements.
  • Maintaining and organizing various documents and contracts in a shared drive, updating and distributing databases to internal and external teams as necessary.
  • Assisting finance/accounting teams with ad-hoc projects, including coordinating with other departments to gather necessary information for process improvement initiatives.
Accounting Support:
  • Supporting the effective operation of the Company's Concur travel & expense platform including assisting with user inquiries, compliance with stated policies and data analysis for historical transactions.
  • Supporting preparation and gathering of documents for recurring tax filings, including withholding taxes, VAT, GST, franchise taxes, property taxes, etc.
  • Supporting the effective operation of the Company's corporate credit card program, assisting with user onboarding/offboarding and user inquiries.
  • Performing cash clearing activities in SAP on a weekly basis.
  • Supporting gathering of documents for internal and external audit requests.
  • Supporting preparation of financial reports and analysis for various projects.
  • Supporting the Company’s compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Financial Planning & Analysis Support:
  • Supporting the Cash Planning finance team in reconciling cash actuals to bank accounts and to cash planning model.
  • Supporting the Residuals finance team to set up new projects for residuals at payroll houses.
  • Supporting the Studio finance team in updating actuals, analyzing variances versus budgets and forecasts, and coordinating production billbacks across all TV and Film titles.
  • Supporting finance teams in quarter-end close, gathering documentation for finance submissions to Accounting and verifying all internal controls are being managed and satisfied.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for numbers and data-driven analysis
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong Microsoft office skills including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
