Responsibilities of the Inventory Management Specialist include, but are not limited to:
* Support DXP's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program * Monitoring inventory levels and lead times for items daily * Ordering items that fall below minimum inventory levels * Setting order points for VMI items * Delivering and stocking products at customer facilities * Coordinating with DXP's sales team on substitute items * Keeping accurate counts of inventory at customer locations * Maintaining vending equipment at account facilities * Customer relations
Qualifications of the Inventory Management Specialist include, but are not limited to:
* Ambitious and serious about starting your career * Working computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel * Able to follow procedures * Organized and attentive to detail * Basic mathematical knowledge * Strong customer orientation * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills * Problem analysis and resolution skills * College degree preferred but not required * Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Physical Demand: Lifting up to 40 lbs
Working Conditions: Office and warehouse
Training/Certifications: N/A
Shift Time/Overtime: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Travel: 25% locally. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
Education: High School Diploma or GED
