Responsibilities
Responsible for financial oversight of complex financial functions and processes including support to multiple service lines. Develops strong working relationships with all Administrative and Physician stakeholders. Provides financial and Strategic oversight including Labor and Capital Analysis Pro Forma Support, Budget Guidance, Financial Statement Closing Process. Translates data into a financial picture to help Management make better decisions and responds in a service-oriented fashion to opportunities while identifying risks. Is a "go to" person for leaders and operators by being visible, approachable and viewed as a problem solver and valued resource. Examines business unit performance relative to industry benchmarks and makes recommendations to the Management team. Assures team provides internal and external customers with accurate and timely data to support decision making and compliance. Responsible for the fiscal management of all operating budgets in assigned areas, while monitoring and promoting cost-effectiveness for the organization. Oversees the development and preparation of financial and statistical reports to support leadership in business development, strategic planning and financial performance review. Responsible for developing and maintaining reporting to evaluate financial performance compared to key performance indicators. Leads budgeting efforts to ensure processes are efficient, effective, and integrated within the System. Works with Directors in assisting with the operating and capital budgets. Provides variance analysis, education, and support to operators and others as appropriate. Develops and interpret reports to assist leadership with evaluation of trends and/or changes in business practice. Oversees the development and preparation of predictive models to assist management with the evaluation of changing regulatory and market forces. Responsible for development of monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc forecaststo provide direction and insight for decision making. Collects, analyzes and presents financial information to assist leadership in identifying risks and opportunities. Builds and maintains strong relationships throughout the organization, community and within the field of healthcare. Provides direction and perspective on strategic business decisions. Remains current on industry trends, key competitors and other marketforces. Champions best practices and assess process improvement opportunities that drive improved efficiency and productivity. Assists with and oversee initiatives to improve planning processes and to support strategic development with timely analysis of data. Collaborates with corporate finance and leadership to identify challenges and priorities. Oversees financial modeling, analysis and valuation of new service lines and businesses. Responsible for maintaining an understanding of current GAAP. Assures assigned staff develop and maintain relationships with internal and external individuals and firms that are the sources of necessary information used for in the preparation accounting entries in the assigned areas. Manages the work of assigned accounting and financial analyst staff to assure accurate and timely accounting and reporting. Oversees the preparation of annual cost reports, AHCA, and other regulatory filings. Assures the development and maintenance of adequate internal controls over financial reporting and protection of assets in the assigned areas. Provide ongoing financial oversight in reimbursement. Responsible for completion of monthly close schedules and accounting journal entries, ensuring proper statement of contractual adjustments and third-party receivables and payables. Oversee completion of monthly managed care and other payers' close schedules and journal entries including allowances and reserves to properly state patient accounts receivable. Oversee and coordinate information gathering for the cost report audits. Qualifications
Education
Must meet one of the following:
Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
and
a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
and
five (5) years of directly related work experience (in addition to the experience listed in the Experience section). Experience
Minimum of five (5) years experience in finance management Minimum of three (3) years managing employees. Experience with finance related IT systems (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fund Accounting, Budget, Purchasing card, Cost Accounting, etc.), spreadsheet and/or database programs.
