Position: Respiratory Care Practitioner

Unit Type: NICU Level III

Patient Age Group: Neonates – Adolescents

Shift: 3x12 days

Documentation System: EPIC required

Certifications/Licenses: BLS, PALS, NRP, RRT, CA State Licensure

**Please note RRT will work at the top of the license and must be able to intubate neonates, this is a hard stop requirement**

Special Equipment: Vents Required: Drager VN 500, Hamilton G5 & T1 Oscillator Required: 3100A

Work Setting Experience Required: ER NICU Peds Critical Care Peds Transports

Airway Management Devices/Suctioning Required: Direct Intubation Endrotracheal tube/suctioning Extubation Intubation Assist Nasal airway placement Nasal airway suctioning Oral airway placement Oropharyngeal/suctioning Pulmonary Hygiene Sputum specimen collection Tracheostomy/suctioning

Ventilator Management: BiPAP Flow-by CPAP High frequency oscillator IMV (intermittent Mandatory Ventilation) Troubleshooting high pressure alarms Weaning from mechanical ventilation
