Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for organizational management. As a Senior Accountant, you will perform accounting functions and procedures essential to the success of the club. This position works closely with the Director of Finance, Accounts Payable Manager, and Accounts Receivable Analyst. Previous similar accounting, and country club/hospitality experience is a requirement for the position.
Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as needed. The position provides competitive compensation starting annual salary $100,000, commensurate with experience, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities • Implements and adheres to policies and procedures for the Accounting function, including compliance of all company accounting standards • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts • Monitors accounting and administrative controls to safeguard the assets of the company by reducing theft as well as internal fraud • Assists Director of Finance in preparing and monitoring annual budget, monitoring revenue goals as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) business volume reports • Assists Director of Finance with preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules that identify actual, budget, variance and over/under based on the plan • Performs or monitors daily revenue audits for revenue generating departments (i.e., Golf, Food & Beverage, etc.) • Analyzes various accounting reports such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, various general ledger and monthly financial statements • Assists Director of Finance with the closing of year-end books and records • Follows accounting protocols and workflows for the property based on property needs, ensuring compliance accounting standards • Prepares • monthly tax reports • Reconciles all bank accounts • Assists Purchasing Dept. with various accounting tasks • Fosters and manages productive and professional relationships between accounting and all other departments • Other duties as required
Education and Experience Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum three years related experience in a fast paced environment. • Country club and/or hospitality experience desired • CPA (or working towards certification) preferred, but not required • Ability to multi task critical functions and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently, think critically, and make decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong time management and organizational skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to read and speak English • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications • Accounting software applications experience (Jonas preferred)
