Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Project Manager
with extensive experience in high voltage substation construction and maintenance projects. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion for high voltage substations. This includes managing resources, budgets, schedules, safety protocols, and client communication to ensure successful delivery of each project. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution:
Lead the development and implementation of project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget for high voltage substation projects. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NERC, FERC) and client-specific requirements. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely completion.
Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all projects are completed within financial constraints. Track and report on project financial performance, managing any variances in cost.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Direct and oversee the project team, including subcontractors, to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct regular progress meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Risk Management & Safety Compliance:
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA standards and other applicable safety regulations.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and closeout packages. Ensure that all project documentation complies with regulatory and client requirements.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within high voltage substations, transmission, or power distribution. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of high voltage substation design, construction, and maintenance. Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred. OSHA safety certification or similar safety training is highly desirable.
