Education
Finance related bachelor's degree or other business-related experience required. Experience / Qualifications
Minimum two years demonstrated experience in finance, budgeting, and analytics. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Lookups, Charts, Advanced Formulas and Macros). Advanced logic skills with knowledge of database interaction. Prior costing, productivity, and revenue cycle experience a plus. Advanced Microsoft Office: PowerPoint and Word. Knowledge of software packages in use at Jupiter Health Inc. preferred. Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required. Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. Must have fundamental Accounting knowledge and how the principals relate to building business plans and proformas (GAAP, accrual based accounting). Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Decision Support, the Financial Analyst
is responsible for supporting finance and budgeting initiatives including:
Essential functions are to strategize for future growth to ensure scalability. Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries. Ensure integrity of cost data, including scheduled uploads, downloads, and reconciliations. Review allocations of expense to appropriate departments as necessary. Update and maintain cost accounting software and allocation templates. Assist with variance reports and explanations for all hospital entities and physician departments, including Productivity and MOR's. Support revenue calculations and journal entries for the monthly financial close process. Assist Finance/Accounting team with other items and reports as required. Assist Managed Care team with payer analysis, negotiations, and other items as required. Month end financial review and analysis. Must have the ability to deep dive into the numbers and identify key drivers of financial performance. Other tasks, projects, and duties as assigned.
