We are currently seeking a talented Director of FP&A to join our Woodbury, NY location. The Director of FP&A will play a key role in supporting the commercial function of the organization by providing financial planning, budgeting, and analysis services. This position will primarily focus on partnering with the commercial team to drive revenue forecasting, expense management, strategic planning and decision support. This position reports directly to VP of Corporate Finance.
It is critical for the person holding this position to have FP&A experience, preferably in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to present financial information in a concise and easily comprehensible manner to various audiences.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic initiatives Collect, process, and analyze sales data to generate actionable insights Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports (daily/monthly/quarterly/annually) Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor sales performance, pipeline metrics, and other key performance indicators Analyze and interpret profitability analysis at the customer and product level Assist commercial leaders (both Hard & Soft Surface Divisions) on recommendations regarding the performance of sales by employees, regions, territory, etc. Analyze pricing model and formulate strategies to help shape Stanton's pricing performance Develop and analyze cost-to-serve model and contribution margin to help prioritize future investments Aggregate and distribute daily sales reports Assist in the preparation of materials used for Board of Directors presentations Assist with KPIs and Dashboards reporting Assist with monthly close processes (accruals, prepaids, variance analysis etc.) Partner with commercial and operational teams to gather and provide business insights and proactively look for improvement opportunities Champion standardization and automation of processes through system and tools enhancement Ad hoc reporting Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA/CPA/CFA/CMA preferred. 5+ years' experience in Finance, experience working in a global manufacturing business preferred Proficient in financial system and other database, strong ability in data mining and analytics High attention to detail with excellent analytic and research skills Exceptional skills in MS Word and PowerPoint a must. Also requires expert Excel skills, with ability to comfortably use pivot tables, macros, and importing / manipulating data Experience with financial budgeting/forecast leadership, and strong financial analysis skills - including being detail oriented and proficient in building and using complicated data sources Experience with working capital improvement preferred A highly motivated, proactive, and collaborative work ethic Background
