Wolfgang Confectioners currently has an opening for an entry-level
Accountant
on our finance team. The target base salary for this role is $65,000 annually.
The Accountant will work directly with the Director of Manufacturing Accounting to support Wolfgang's accounting function. This role requires a strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and an understanding of accruals, accounts payable and receivable, reporting, and payroll.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Fixed Assets Management:
Assist in tracking and maintaining fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules. Prepaids Management:
Manage and monitor prepaid expenses, ensuring accurate amortization and timely recognition of expenses. Accruals Management:
Prepare and analyze monthly accruals, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and timely reporting. Accounts Payable/Receivable Backup:
Support the AP/AR functions, including processing invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations as needed. Payroll Backup:
Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Ad-Hoc Reporting: Generate and analyze ad-hoc financial reports to support management decision-making and operational improvements. REQUIREMENTS

Experience, Competencies and Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and/or public accounting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Comprehensive understanding and application of accounting principles, concepts, and practices. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
