About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst for COO Finance. We are seeking qualified professionals to provide financial support to the Corporate Properties Group (CPG). This independent contributor role will partner closely with Finance leaders and business unit partners to enhance internal financial management reporting and provide financial insight for decision making and strategy. This is a senior role and will operate within a finance team of qualified financial analysts.
The role will report into the CPG Finance Manager with the successful candidate joining a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The group strives for excellence in customer service and client support by exhibiting behavior that is fair, reasonable, ethical, and professional.
In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives as a technical professional
Provide a broad expertise and unique skills used to develop company objectives and standards
Contribute to large scale planning such as economic research in support of management decision making for a business unit
Research key forecasting projections as well as management of financial reporting to support monthly and quarterly forecasting
Perform work on significant and unique issues involving data and evaluation or highly complex situations
Develop strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning
Lead team to meet the implementation of complex projects impacting one or more lines of business
Establish effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standard and internal control standards
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Provide finance support to CPG and Finance management as part of monthly financial reviews and annual strategic planning process
Provide meaningful commentary on financial results including the application of key performance indicators and metrics as well as highlighting financial risks and opportunities
Review month-end, year-to-date and full-year real estate portfolio results and effectively communicate variance to stakeholders
Partner with line of business and functional teams to improve cost analysis and decision making
Engage with internal stakeholders in the development of financial plans that align with strategic objectives
Ad-hoc financial analysis as necessary (i.e., trend analysis, historical property or portfolio data, review of annual occupancy rates)
Prepare and review annual building budgets, provide assistance to CPG departments involved in budgeting process, including activities such as reviewing historical trends, calculating real estate project impacts, identifying key expense drivers, adjusting space allocation data, rate analysis, and year-over-year trends
Develop annual occupancy expense allocation rates, communicate occupancy allocation rate changes to stakeholders and provide ongoing monitoring of occupancy expenses to ensure appropriate allocations to business lines
Provide financial and strategic support to business partners on strategic initiatives
Interface with CPG Financial Analysis Team to support real estate strategies and scenario modeling
Conduct in-depth financial research and analysis and effectively communicate findings and/or recommendations to business partners and Finance management
Ability to engage with business partners to develop budgets, forecasts, and report financial results
Collect financial data, performing high-level analysis, testing for accuracy, identifying and resolving complex problems
Performing variance and trend analyses; communicating and providing guidance to business partners regarding relevant financial policies
Create and/or monitor systems or models to predict financial outcomes
Develop a “continuous improvement” spirit within the team and help drive this culture across the Finance function
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Exposure to key accounting tools like Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, SAP
Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines
Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting to Finance leaders
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Able to build and maintain good working relationships with internal partners.
Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:
Experience in Finance or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Finance and Accounting concepts, methodologies and systems (GAAP, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting)
Knowledge of real estate project accounting principles including rules for fixed asset capitalization and amortization, lease accounting and other rules and regulations associated with owned and leased real estate
Ability to perform complex analyses, draw conclusions, and communicate and articulate conclusions visually and verbally
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, creation of graphs/charts, Power point; experience with macros and VBA coding is a plus)
Strong knowledge in PowerPoint, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus but not required
Ability to create financial analyses to support business strategies and/or business cases. Experience developing real estate cash flow and GAAP-based analysis to make informed portfolio decisions is a plus
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
