Overview
This position supports the Business Manager and Finance Council of the Parish regarding all finance-related issues. In addition, this job maintains all parishioner records, manages the timekeeping process, and works closely with Diocesan Human Resources and Payroll departments.
Job Responsibilities Works with diocesan payroll to insure timely input for payroll changes. Ensures that all timekeeping is properly approved and submitted on a bi-weekly basis. Supports the Business Manager/Pastor regarding the parish budget. Records deposit into QuickBooks and reconciles bank statement monthly. Enters all approved invoices and process all payments on a timely basis. Interacts with Diocesan Human Resources Department and Internal Finance Department; attends all meetings as requested. Schedules, prepare, and attends quarterly Finance Council Meetings. Prepares Annual Income Statement for the bulletin. Records weekly parishioner contributions. Maintain filing systems both hard copy and electronic. Maintain any records or lists required by the parish. Any other duties as assigned. Degree in Accounting or Business Administration Proficient with Microsoft Suite. In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks. Excellent communications skills both written and oral. Strong organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must pass Diocesan QuickBooks test.
