Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Planner to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels and collaborating with various departments to ensure inventory levels meet anticipated customer demand. This role is crucial in maintaining the balance between supply and demand to meet customer needs while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding overstocking or stockouts. Cost Savings:

Determine the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for products to drive cost optimization. Collaboration:

Work closely with sales, operations. customer service, and logistics to align supply plans with operational capabilities and customer sales requirements. Supplier Management:

Prepare and review purchase order accuracy to drive purchase order accuracy. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply-related issues. Maintain accurate supplier data, including names, contact information, shipping points, lead times, EOQ and freight terms. Product Returns:

Resolve supplier invoice issues with the Accounts Payable Department as appropriate. Coordinate vendor product returns and credits. Process and track product sample orders. Data Analysis:

Utilize ERP systems and analytical tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze stock and usage levels, determine economic reorder points and quantities, and create purchase orders. Continuous Improvement:

Minimize the pipeline of aged, dead and/or slow-moving inventory in conjunction with facility personnel. Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness. Risk Management:

Assess supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions. Cross-Functional Communication:

Facilitate communication between different departments to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies and goals. Above average oral and written communication skills to ensure that information is transmitted clearly, thoroughly, and tactfully. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-8 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on analyzing stock and usage levels, determining economic reorder points and quantities, and creating purchase orders using an ERP computer software program Prior experience managing an inventory portfolio with a minimum turnover rate of 7 or higher. Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP and MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, M3). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications:

APICS or similar certification in supply chain management. Experience within distribution companies, preferably in the fiberglass composites and chemical industries. Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
