Project Manager(Part- Time)
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Project Manager for a contract position in Saint Paul, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Understand the Project drivers and expected business outcomes. Develops the project management plans in collaboration with key stakeholders including the vendor to achieve business outcomes. Facilitates the day-to-day aspects of Project schedule, scope, and quality. Collaborates as necessary to elicit, document, prioritize, and follow through to completion business and solution-related requirements. Develops and coordinates application support training with the vendor. Logs and follows through to disposition Project-related risks, action items, issues, and decisions. Performs risk management; escalates issues and risks as needed. Provides complete transparency to project performance. Controls scope to achieve value within the approved time and cost; recommends timely corrective actions. Collaborates to develop a workstream transition plan. Monitors progress and reports status. Other duties as assigned. Primary Deliverables:

Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. degree (4 years) 5+ years experience as a senior project manager including an application implementation Demonstrated ability to elicit and document business requirements and create process flows Ability to collaborate with a vendor for application support training LOCAL to the Twin Cities metro area Business acumen Elicitation skills Relationship-building skills Practical and pragmatic process-orientation; efficient and effective Has or can quickly earn trust and credibility with stakeholders and Project team through action and transparency An "honest broker" - can deliver bad news in good ways Ability to communicate up-down-and-across Influencing skills Analytical, strategic, creative, and systems thinking skills General management skills Ability to analyze problems, identify and evaluate options, and implement solutions Ability to determine priorities, plan workload, and meet deadlines Knowledge of Project management best practices; ability to adapt to the needs of the organization/Project. Performs at high levels under pressure, even during organizational chaos Coachable; open and receptive to continual feedback Proficient in MS Office suite and collaboration tools
Preferred:
Experience managing technology projects in state, county, or city governments or non-profit sector PMP certification from PMI, or other Project management certification Demonstrated competency in small group facilitation and business relationship management Note: Diverse and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
