Project Manager (Construction/Electrical)
Salary:
$90,000 - $150,000 (negotiable based on experience) Location:
onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL with project visits throughout Broward County and surrounding areas.
Overview: The Project Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of awarded projects, from planning to close-out, ensuring they meet budget and timeline requirements. Key duties include reviewing plans, preparing submittals, coordinating with the Superintendent, managing manpower, ordering materials, processing billing, and communicating with Owners or Prime Contractors. A strong knowledge of electrical systems is essential.
Responsibilities:
Design Phase : Collaborate with designers during planning stages for design-build projects. Material Management : Order materials and conduct weekly production reviews to allocate time accurately. Documentation : Submit and track equipment/material shop drawings. Take-offs : Prepare detailed electrical take-offs and send to vendors for quotes. Change Orders : Estimate and submit change orders as required. Scheduling : Create and maintain the project schedule. RFIs : Submit Requests for Information to designers/owners. Billing Support : Track quantities and materials for billing; submit claims for delays/extra work. Safety Compliance : Enforce safety policies and protocols.
Qualifications:
Experience : Minimum 5 years of project management with bridges, highways, roadways; FDOT project experience is a plus. Education : High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's in Construction or Engineering preferred. Electrical Knowledge : Understanding of electrical, ITS, and tolling systems. Skills :
Bluebeam Revu software (a plus) P6 Scheduling software (preferred)
Additional : Valid driver's license, effective planning, organization skills, and a positive attitude.
