Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects by overseeing all resources from initiation to completion. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and project specifications in a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities for the Assistant Project Manager - Outstanding General Contractor - Charleston include:
Managing and coordinating project resources efficiently to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Leading team development by setting expectations, enforcing policies, and providing guidance and mentorship to team members. Monitoring project progress through regular meetings to assess status, identify risks, and ensure compliance with technical, safety, and legal standards. Applying strategic problem-solving skills to address challenges and optimize project value. Collaborating with the pre-construction team to align on project goals, timelines, and resources. Overseeing project budgeting and financial reporting, analyzing data to ensure adherence to the budget and identifying cost optimization opportunities. Ensuring timely procurement and effective use of project resources, staying aligned with schedules and financial goals. Actively coaching and providing feedback to support personnel development and team success. Prioritizing client needs with a value-driven approach to ensure every project meets or exceeds expectations. A solid understanding of industry standards, corporate practices, and processes, and their influence on project outcomes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, subcontractors, and team members. A professional and business-focused approach to all interactions. This role requires a candidate who can balance technical expertise with effective leadership and communication, contributing to the success of complex projects.
