Job Description
The Project Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Construction, will oversee all phases of construction, including coordinating with subcontractors, serving as the client-facing PM by directly communicating with owners, and managing the project from conception to completion.
Review, monitor, and manage project budgets, costs, change management, and other financial aspects. Collaborate with the superintendent to establish project milestones through effective schedule management. Ensure full implementation of company safety, risk management, and environmental programs. Lead the QA/QC program with a strong focus on quality control. Complete project closeout efforts promptly, archiving information per company procedures. Proactively manage disputes and claims for timely and fair resolutions. Foster a safe work environment by modeling safe behaviors and enforcing compliance among project team members. Mentor and train direct reports through regular communication. Develop skills and competencies via performance management and employee development initiatives. Travel to job sites, meetings, and client locations as needed to support the project team. Assist with department duties and team initiatives as required. Engage in business associations to enhance brand visibility. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, and developers. Generate leads and new opportunities from existing clients. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty for future projects. Participate in RFPs and RFQs for project acquisition. Adhere to safety equipment protocols and drug policies, maintaining a safety-sensitive position. Maintain predictable in-person attendance at assigned locations. Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including business development, estimating, and project management. Provide leadership and guidance to the construction team, ensuring successful project completion within time and budget. Coordinate efforts during preconstruction, estimating, contract buyout, construction, and closeout phases. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years leading large-scale construction projects. Proficient in utilizing construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, AutoCAD. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a small team of construction professionals. Experience working on large commercial and multifamily construction projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. What's on Offer
