Overview

Onsite Project Managers are responsible for overseeing field operations associated with building automation projects. During the construction phase of a project, the Onsite Project Manager is an RBT representative to the general contractor as well as other trades. In between project deployments, the Onsite Project Manager will assist with new project estimating and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

Project Management (75%) Establishes detailed project schedule with specific detail to commissioning activities and carefully monitors project for completion. Accurately forecasts resources necessary to execute their projects. Review and monitor potential sources of risk and strategies for mitigation. Assists with the development of procurement logs and installation tracking sheets. Receive, verify, and handoff equipment shipped to the site. Supports MEP trade partners and subcontractors in order to meet project goals. Understands, monitors, and manages the project scope for potential deviations. Understands and enforces RBT's quality plans for projects and monitors projects for quality throughout the project life-cycle. Determine causes of deviations from the project plan or schedule and the recommended corrective actions. Generates meaningful daily site logs to convey site conditions and progress. Responsible for project financials including but not limited to:

Project Financial Reporting

Cost projections/cash flow reporting

Quantify and draft change orders

Serves as the primary onsite commercial contact for customers. Team Leadership (10%)

Provide technical assistance to RBT commissioning team Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and trades Assist with prioritizing and assigning installation tasks to the trades Participate in commissioning meetings Develop customer and trade relationships Participates in field related design modification meetings Commissioning Methodology (10%)

Understanding of customer commissioning and acceptance testing. Understanding of point-to-point loop checks, functional tests, and status of the site Cx plan for mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. Instrumentation and Electrical Design (5%)

Assist with developing instrument lists by examining P&ID drawings & bid specifications Evaluate instrumentation (TTs, PTs, FTs, actuators, etc.) and propose appropriate devices for project. Inspect instrument and electrical panel installation to verify completion. Identify installation discrepancies. Qualifications

Technical Degree in a related field Previous Project Management or Site Management experience Experience organizing, scheduling, and leading meetings with internal teams and customers Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Microsoft Project Basic understanding of HVAC systems in large building automation systems. Basic understanding of sequence of operations and P&IDs for HVAC and plant utilities. Basic understanding of instrumentation and control valves for HVAC systems. Building automation and/or industrial controls experience (Distech, Niagara, Rockwell, Schneider, AVEVA, Inductive Automation) is a plus. Onsite commissioning experience is a plus.
