Experience in cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, reading tele strips, and TR Band experience. Description: We are seeking a Telemetry Nurse for the float pool, capable of floating throughout the hospital to all Medical/Surgical and Telemetry areas. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours. The clinician-to-patient ratio is up to 5:1 during daytime and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 at night. The patient population includes emergency department border patients, a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and non-vented patients who are transfer-ready in the ICU. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as EPIC, Omnicell, and Kronos is required. The units range in size from 8 to 41 beds within a facility that has a total bed count of 371. The nurse must have a willingness to float and adapt to varying unit needs.
