Fanatics Collectibles, a transformative company that is building a new model for the hobby and giving collectors an end-to-end physical and digital collectible experience; Fanatics Betting & Gaming, a mobile betting, gaming, and retail sportsbook platform. Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.
What You'll Do:
Provide accounting, processing, and analytical support for payroll accounting activities. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Collection, tracking, analyzing, reporting and reconciliation of accounting activity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Assists with month-end close process including preparation of various journal entries, accruals, estimates and financial statement analysis of assigned areas Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and flux analysis for payroll accounts Prepare sophisticated calculations surrounding accounting estimates Assist with quarterly and annual audit requests from our external auditors Maintain/recommend a strong financial controls environment and compliance with SOX processes Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field preferred CPA designation a major plus 1 - 3 years' practical accounting experience as team leader or individual contributor with a combination of public and private accounting background Solid foundation in GAAP, previous experience in accounting/audit/finance experience very desirable Experience with payroll functions and the month-end/year-end close process Advanced MS Excel skills a plus, including Vlookups and pivot tables Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines. Able to work flexible work schedule in order to accommodate business levels Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and to make well-reasoned and timely decisions High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, integrity, work ethic, willingness to learn and a positive attitude Strong written and oral communication skills Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills
