The FP&A Associate plays a crucial supporting role in Aypa's financial management and reporting, focusing on various aspects of budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial analysis. This position is well-suited for early-career finance, accounting, or treasury professionals interested in the renewable energy industry. The FP&A Associate will work closely with the Director of FP&A and the Finance team, along with collaborating with different departments, such as Development, Commercial, Construction, Operations, Legal, and Accounting.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the annual budget cycle by providing support to senior team members and collaborating with various departments; Support monthly/quarterly planning and review processes, contributing to financial resource assessments for development capital, construction financing, and credit support; Assist in consolidating and analyzing project-level financial information, providing inputs for division and company-level reporting; Contribute to liquidity management discussions and provide assistance in coordinating external funding requests and capital raise initiatives; Support the maintenance and analysis of the corporate financial model, including updating forecasts and integrating historical financial information; Participate in expense tracking for project-based work and collaborate with the accounting and finance team on financial reporting matters; Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders; Contribute to portfolio management activities, including tracking portfolio compliance and key financial metrics; Support annual Carbon Accounting and ESG reporting requirements, collaborating with relevant teams and external stakeholders; Collaborate with various departments to validate financial resource timing and needs for project development activities; Perform ad hoc duties as needed. Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting with a strong academic record; 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in capital-intensive industries such as renewable power, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or real estate; Exposure to project-based work and basic expense tracking; Familiarity with financial modeling concepts and a willingness to learn discounted cash flow modeling; Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles; Expertise in financial tools like Excel as well as familiarity with ERP systems (Sage Intacct) and FP&A software (Workday Adaptive Planning). High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a dynamic and team-oriented culture; Strong ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
Compensation and Location:
Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on both individual performance as well as the overall success of the business

Location: Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate. Remote will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
