Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for applying principals of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports while performing the following duties. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and Controller to produce timely and accurate financial statements. This position has no direct reports.
Essential Functions:
Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with the company's internal policies. Reconcile Bank Statements and balance sheet accounts. Review and post monthly journal Manage income and expenditure accounts. Conduct analyses and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the month. Conduct month end, quarter-end and year end closing analysis, making adjustment as necessary/required. Knowledge and experience in understanding Accruals, Prepaids, Depreciation and Fixed Assets making monthly journal entries to record transactions. Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently Respond to and assist internal and external request as needed with financial information requests and general accounting questions. Maintains strict confidentiality ensuring company privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded. Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals. Skills:
Analytical Skills. Advanced Knowledge and experience of spreadsheets. Understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with accounting software and data. Communication with internal and external sources. Excellent written and verbal skills. Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree; Accounting 2+ years General Ledger accounting experience Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills Strong Organizational skills Meticulous documentation skills; excellent written and verbal skills
Computer Software/Hardware:
Mid-tier Accounting Software ( NetSuite experience preferred),
Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Outlook Exchange.
