Qualifications:
Master's Degree - Speech and Language Pathology Must meet the requirements as specified in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education Revised R340.1796 Certification of Clinical Competence for ASHA or finishing last Clinical Fellowship year Experience with multiple special education populations (e.g. ASD, LD, EI) preferred Knowledgeable and experienced with speech and language diagnostic procedures Proven employment record illustrating warmth, patience, consistency, tolerance, empathy, trust, reliability, good attendance, sound judgment, discretion and confidentiality. Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations Participate on multi-disciplinary teams, IEP teams, and work collaboratively with teachers, professionals, students and parents/guardians Ability to plan evidenced based interventions for individual and groups Demonstrated ability to teach strategies to students and teachers that support student progress in their curriculum and individualized education plans Complete and maintain records, documentation and record keeping in accordance with district policies, procedures and directives Complete and meet Federal and State mandates for evaluation and delivery of services and programs for Special Education Experience with Positive Behavior Supports, Assistive Technology, Positive Behavior Supports, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports preferred Other duties as assigned by administrator
Salary:
Commensurate with experience
