Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking a Program Manager, Learning & Development who will develop and foster a Center of Excellence for Learning and Development programs that support long-term goals at Berlin Packaging.
Key Accountabilities:
Will be responsible for cross functional collaboration to develop and implement learning and development strategies to drive results throughout the organization. Primary responsibilities will be to coordinate the development of a consistent and comprehensive onboarding and mentor program for new hires, utilize emerging learning and development tools to support continuous improvement and support annual compliance training initiatives. In addition, this role will coordinate training support through Subject Matter Expert (SME) development program, create training tools, and facilitate training via virtual classrooms throughout Berlin Packaging, resulting in profitable growth. Essential Job Duties:
DEVELOP TRAINING TOOLS & RESOURCES:
Conduct needs assessments to identify training requirements across different departments. In partnership with Continuous Improvement, Subject Matter Experts, and Change Management leadership, build and maintain an enterprise learning content management strategy and roadmap. Design and develop engaging learning programs, utilizing various methods like instructor-led training, eLearning modules, and blended learning approaches. Develop and build upon training tools; BPU's (Berlin Packaging University), LMS (Learning Management System), video recordings, etc. Create and maintain a repository of new and existing communication and training resources. Ensure training ecosystem reflects the most current content for systems & process training and all are tied to most current versions of field training plans. Manage the development and delivery of learning programs, including budgets, timelines, and resources. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis and feedback mechanisms. Stay abreast of current learning and development trends and best practices. Manage vendor relationships with external training providers. Support the creation and implementation of a positive learning culture within the organization. DETERMINE TRAINING METHODOLOGY:
Provide leadership related to all learning technologies (LMS, content management systems, content development and delivery, measurement systems, etc.) Facilitate learning through various delivery methods including classroom instruction and virtual training. Research, develop, and implement new training strategies. Design assessment tools and/or KPIs to measure effectiveness of training and changes implemented. SUPPORT CROSS FUNCTIONAL CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
Support a continuous improvement culture; actively participate in initiatives to drive process improvements that result in positive based ROI. Participate in cross-functional projects to provide subject matter expertise in training, as needed. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership to define, enable and reinforce clear behavioral expectations for managers and leaders related to building a stronger learning culture. Drive a culture through learning and development which supports Berlin Values and the Anything is Possible culture! Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
BA/BS Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or related field required. Minimum of 3 years of practical, broad-based learning and development, change management, and communication experience. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models. Proven experience in project management, including budget management and timeline adherence. Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and collaboration skills. Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable insights. Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant technologies (a plus). Ability to lead and influence across multiple levels without authority. Solid business acumen with proven problem solving and process improvement skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate & partner cross-functionally with employees at all levels. High level of organization and decision-making skills. The ability to travel as needed up to 40%. Working Environment:
Office, automobile, customer locations, warehouse and production facilities.
