Fixed Asset Staff Accountant

We are seeking a driven and organized Fixed Asset Staff Accountant for our large, fast-paced client in Denver. Staff Accountant Position Overview: As the Fixed Asset Staff Accountant, you will focus on the monthly accounting cycle, preparing reconciliations, and handling invoices related to capital projects. This role is cyclical in nature, with responsibilities divided between closing the previous month's books and preparing for the upcoming period. You will work closely with different departments to ensure accurate tracking of assets and follow straight-line depreciation schedules.
Key Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate recording of fixed assets and capital project expenditures. Prepare and organize accounting reconciliations and reports for the upcoming period. Perform detailed analysis and forecasting for capital projects and supply management. Manually track assets and project data using Excel; follow up with project managers and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely completion of tasks. Assist with ad-hoc projects related to spare parts and supply tracking. Staff Accountant Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply). Basic understanding of fixed assets and depreciation schedules. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ability to manually track and analyze data (PivotTables, VLOOKUP). Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with various internal teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Experience with fixed assets is a plus but not required, as full training and documentation will be provided.
