POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Warehouse Operations Department, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of all outbound orders. Responsibilities include managing shipments, documentation, and acting as a backup in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor or staff. The role also involves coordinating between Logistics, Inventory, Account Management, Warehouse Operations, and supporting teams, while performing tasks assigned by the Supervisor.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiency through strategic planning, coordinating inbound product to outbound orders, warehouse put-away, and container utilization.
  • Manage shipping documentation, including inspection applications and pallet manifests, oversee the Whiteboard, download/file photos, and provide physical labor when needed.
  • Create USDA Health Applications and coordinate USDA Health Certificates with Documentation.
  • Respond to internal email requests for the warehouse, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare a weekly log for container dispatch, communicate with carriers for timely dispatch, and sign out drivers.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor with tasks such as computing weekly scorecard metrics, coordinating temp labor, ordering warehouse supplies, and securing outside rental plugs.
  • Handle sample requests, audits, and other miscellaneous inventory requests from the office.
  • Support AIB preparations and cycle counts as required.
  • Research, update, and report on xTuple incidents.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, making adjustments as needed (e.g., broken cases, returns to stock, maintaining rendering areas, etc.).
  • Maintain a collaborative spirit and foster teamwork among departments to enhance productivity and workplace harmony.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Serve as a backup for the Warehouse Supervisor, Foreman, and staff.
  • Adhere to company policies, departmental procedures, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Education and/or Experience:
  • A two-year degree, preferably in Business Administration, with two or more years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with entry-level skills in Excel.
