POSITION SUMMARY
- Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, this position is responsible for the day-to-day duties of the Warehouse Operations Department to ensure receipt and accuracy of all inbound Purchase
- Orders (PO’s), proper storage and accuracy of inventory, as well as delivery and accuracy of all outbound orders.
- PO entry, inventory put away, adjustments and audits, order shipment and required documentation. Serves as back-up in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor, other Foreman, and staff.
- Help act as the liaison between Logistics, Inventory, Account Management, Warehouse Operations, and any other supporting teams and completion of any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify opportunities for increased efficiencies through strategic planning and coordinating inbound product to outbound orders, warehouse put-away, and container utilization.
- Manage and maintain scheduled appointments and deliveries; print PO’s
- E-mails – Responds to internal e-mail requests for the warehouse and ensures all deadlines are met.
- Utilize inbound purchase orders to receive the product into xTuple and DSS, including creating all labels for purchase orders and outgoing shipments (lot serials, license plates, and military labels).
- Process all CPFD RPQ bill of ladings, then receive them into DSS and coordinate labeling.
- Coordinate Pork Certification with USDA inspector.
- Container dispatch – Prepare a weekly log of containers to be dispatched and communicate details to the carrier for timely dispatch of containers; sign out drivers.
- Assist the Regional Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor in various tasks such as computing weekly scorecard measurables, coordinating temp labor, ordering warehouse supplies, and securing outside rental plugs.
- Assist Shipping with documentation, such as inspection applications and pallet manifests, along with overseeing Whiteboard, downloading/filing photos, and providing physical labor as needed.
- Create USDA Health Applications and coordinates USDA Health Certs with Documentation.
- Handle sample, audit, and other miscellaneous inventory requests from the office.
- Assist with AIB preparations and cycle counts, as requested.
- Research, update, and report on any xTuple Incidents.
- Research and reconcile any inventory discrepancies and make adjustments accordingly (i.e., addressing broken cases and doing returns to stock as needed, maintain rendering area(s), and communicate with various office personnel for any general inquires and requests, etc.).
- Actively maintains a collaborative spirit/dialogue with other departments and Associates to promote workplace harmony and productivity, embracing and fostering the Company’s mission.
- Support on-going continuous improvement projects.
- Serves as backup to the Warehouse Supervisor, Foreman, and staff
- Adheres to Richmond Wholesale’s employment policies, departmental operating policies, and all federal and state regulatory and compliance laws pertaining to our business and industry.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Education and/or Experience: Requires a two-year degree, preferably in Business Administration, and two-plus years of related experience and or training: or an equivalent of combined education and work experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with entry-level Excel skills required
