POSITION PURPOSE:

Ensure that all audit work is balanced and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Verify and reconcile daily transactions from all revenue-generating departments, including rooms, food and beverage, banquet, golf, retail and spa.
  • Check Micros and Opera reports for accuracy and unusual transactions.
  • Prepare daily revenue reports and distribute.
  • Reclass miscellaneous charges on a daily basis
  • Review, analyze and send out adjustment report.
  • Prepare routing pack to include adjustment, miscellaneous charges, refunds, promo charges and paid-outs.
  • Become a key component in achieving 100% compliance in the ICQ (Internal Controls Questionnaire).
  • Retrieve night audit paperwork and file accordingly.
  • S&P house accounts - Reverse revenues and expense taxes and gratuities.
  • Audit and reconcile credit card transactions daily
  • Prepare Cash over and Short Report and send out violations as necessary.
  • Uploading budget & forecast for the Daily Revenue Report.
  • Reconciliation of Gift Cards
  • Research and respond to chargebacks.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

OTHER:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Trump National

Doral – Miami from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates

with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of

employment.

Due to the industry that we are in, a need will occur for each associate to provide “Lateral Service”. Our goal is to ensure that we are maximizing customer satisfaction and as a result there will be times when our associates in the Operation will call upon us for support in order to ensure customer satisfaction occurs. When we are fortunate enough for this to occur, each associate will positively respond unless there is a chance that an opportunity resulting in dissatisfying a guest could occur. If this is the case the leader is to be notified and the level of support that is being requested will be obtained.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Perform any duties and responsibilities asked of by the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance based upon departmental needs.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

  • Good working knowledge of resort computerized systems (POS Micros, PMS Opera)
  • Office machines: operate calculator/10 key by touch, proficiency in MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Ability to handle several tasks at one time and meet multiple priorities if business demands.
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after associate begins work.

OTHER DUTIES:

Assimilate into Trump National Doral - Miami Cultural Foundation through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of the Trump Cornerstones. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent required.


EXPERIENCE

At least two years of experience in resorts.

Accounting and Front Desk experience required.

None required.

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
