Job Title: Medical Assembler1st shift M - Th: 4am- 2:30pm $192nd shift M - Th: 2:30pm - 12:30am $19.53Job DescriptionAs a Medical Assembler, you will work primarily in a cleanroom environment starting in the coiling department. You will be responsible for assembling and inspecting medical components such as stents, catheters, and leads. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work with small parts and tools under a microscope.ResponsibilitiesWork with coil winding machines to wrap coils around spindles.Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes about 30-50% of the day.Sit and stand for 8-hour shifts, as required by the coiling process.Cross-train in various assembly areas after initial training period (1-2 weeks).In the Molding Area: inspect, deburr parts, and use tools such as pliers, filers, and knives.In the CEA Assembly Areas: work off travelers/work instructions and use small hand tools to perform assemblies with and without microscopes.In the Laser Welding Area: operate laser welding machines and microscopes to weld small medical components.In the Implantable Housings Area: work with automated presses and stamping machines, inspect and deburr parts, and use microscopes up to 50% of the day.Essential Skills4-6 months of medical manufacturing or small part experience.4-6 months of microscope experience.Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.Proficiency in using small hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, and filers.Comfortable with sitting and standing for extended periods.Why Work Here?Enjoy a very nice facility with a well-equipped lunch/break room and an onsite market.Participate in a $500 Safety drawing monthly for demonstrating best safety practices.Engage in team stretching breaks multiple times a day for wellness.Benefit from weekly food trucks and monthly free ice cream.Access walking trails during breaks or lunch.Take advantage of a shoe truck visiting annually for discounted safety shoes.Receive patient training and support to ensure success in your role.Work for a diverse, financially stable, and employee-friendly company with a 400 year history.Work EnvironmentPositions are primarily in a cleanroom environment requiring gowning up (smock, booties, hair net, beard net if applicable, and eye glasses).Some positions may be in a non-cleanroom area, requiring eye protection and steel-toed shoe covers.The non-cleanroom area is louder with more machines and a slight oil smell.Candidates must be comfortable with varying between sitting and standing each day.The facility includes an employee wellness plan, room, ping pong table, and workout facility.Skirts are allowed with pants or leggings underneath, and hijabs must be athletic and tucked in for safety.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
