Medical Assembler$19/HR- $23/HRJob DescriptionAs a Medical Assembler, you will work primarily in a cleanroom environment starting in the coiling department. You will be responsible for assembling and inspecting medical components such as stents, catheters, and leads. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work with small parts and tools under a microscope.ResponsibilitiesWork with coil winding machines to wrap coils around spindles.Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes about 30-50% of the day.Sit and stand for 8-hour shifts, as required by the coiling process.Cross-train in various assembly areas after initial training period (1-2 weeks).In the Molding Area: inspect, deburr parts, and use tools such as pliers, filers, and knives.In the CEA Assembly Areas: work off travelers/work instructions and use small hand tools to perform assemblies with and without microscopes.In the Laser Welding Area: operate laser welding machines and microscopes to weld small medical components.In the Implantable Housings Area: work with automated presses and stamping machines, inspect and deburr parts, and use microscopes up to 50% of the day.Essential Skills4-6 months of medical manufacturing or small part experience.4-6 months of microscope experience.Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.Proficiency in using small hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, and filers.Comfortable with sitting and standing for extended periods.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
