POSITION TITLE:
Autism Spectrum Disorder Program Coordinator (BCBA) SALARY RANGE:
$7,617.00 - $9,262.00 per month in five annual steps LOCATION:
San Jose Non-Exempt salary (37.5 hours per week) Collective Bargaining Position [x ] Regular [ x] Full-Time [ ] Temporary [ ] Part-time JOB SUMMARY: Provides support and consultation to interdisciplinary teams and families working with consumers who have particularly challenging behaviors, including but not limited to consumers with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities to ensure the provision of appropriate and evidence-based ASD interventions by service providers. Participates in resource development activities related to ASD services. Ensures through coordination and collaboration that informational resources on ASD are available and up to date. Analyzes trend data and prepares reports on ASD and Regional Center services. Ensures that ASD activities are both culturally and age-appropriate to assure successful implementation of ASD services. Consults with families, clients, and community providers regarding appropriate programs. Ensures that service providers and community agencies understand current and evidence-based approaches to ASD. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in education, psychology, or social work preferred, plus two years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, and credentialed Board Certified Behavior Analyst. SPECIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Must be able to convey knowledge in a constructive, supportive, and collaborative manner to clients and their families, professionals within the agency, and other community organizations and programs. Must have the ability to prepare reports and presentations in a clear and concise manner. Must demonstrate good organizational, planning, and leadership skills. Must be able to meet demanding deadlines. Familiarity with existing ASD community programs is a plus. OTHER:
Use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver’s license, and automobile liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or the ability to provide for independent transportation.
