Head of SQE (Safety, Quality and Environment) leads, directs and supports safety, quality and environment activities within one’s responsible country. S/he drives continuous improvement of SQE performance and supports frontline leadership teams in implementing, maintaining and continually improving the KONE Way for SQE. Overall accountable for SQE together with the country management. S/he leads the development, implementation and follow-up of processes, methods and systems to measure and analyze SQE performance indicators. What will you be doing? SQE Management • Serves as the management representative for the integrated management system (ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001), ensuring alignment with organizational standards. • Facilitates and assesses the implementation of the KONE Integrated Management System. • Represents the country to external stakeholders in safety matters, under the direction of the country MD or FL leadership. SQE Culture and Engagement • Promotes a proactive SQE culture, emphasizing the importance of safety, quality and environment throughout the organization and fostering active engagement at all levels. • Promotes a safety program for end users to ensure safe and sustainable use of elevators and escalators. Local SQE Targets and Objectives • Establishes country-specific SQE targets and focus aligned with functional leadership (FL) objectives. • Supports the development of crisis communication and emergency response practices. • Leads the creation, implementation and maintenance of SQE programmes and activities. Safety, Quality and Environmental Risk Management • Ensures effective safety, quality and environmental risk is being reviewed and brainstormed for actions. • Leads or supports SQE related change management projects and initiatives. • Reports any risk, SQE related crisis adhering to KSEA’s incident and crisis management procedure. • Performs regular process assessment to minimize non-compliance risk. Audit Oversight and Process Compliance • Oversees the planning, execution, and follow-up of integrated management system audits to ensure process compliance and identify areas for performance and opportunities for enhancement. Continuous Improvement with LSS • Analyzes customer, field feedback, as well as other relevant data, to proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement across the full operational chain for safety, quality and environment management processes. • Tracks progress and evaluates the effectiveness of improvement projects, corrective actions, and preventive actions logged across the organization. Provides guidance and support as needed. • Ensures that continuous improvement (CI) processes are effectively operating at the country level and contributes to CI initiatives at the FL level. • Drives the LSS programs to develop LSS belters to focus on a cost-effective project funnel. • Works closely with FL, country functional, and operational leaders to plan and implement continuous safety, quality and environmental improvement opportunities. • Collaborates with KSEA colleagues to share best practices, understand evolving requirements, and enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational optimization. • Conducts Kaizen events to identify opportunities for improvement. Non-conformance, Incident Investigation and Corrective Action Leadership • Drives efforts to continuously reduce non-conformance, including those linked to incoming quality. • Collaborates on root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for incidents. • Validates the CAPA implementation effectiveness. SQE Competency Development • Drives the continuous enhancement of LSS, safety and environment competencies within the country by providing necessary training and addressing organizational training needs to develop safety, quality and environmental mindset and competencies. Are you the one? M.Sc. or Bachelor degree in a relevant field 15+ years of progressive professional experience from a global industrial company Fluency in English Possession of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification issued by the Ministry of Manpower Singapore (Optional) Integrated management system (ISO9001, 45001 and 14001) and tools and certifications knowledge Six Sigma qualification is required (Six Sigma Champion, Six Sigma Black Belt) Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills In-depth project, process and change management knowledge Excellent people management, training and communication skills Good business acumen
