The CQI Instructional Designer will support the area of Continuous Quality Improvement. This position will work collaboratively with internal staff and external partners to create content for web-based courses, in-person workshops, and educational tools. This position will also manage the use and administration of the LMS to measure training effectiveness. Working with content experts, this position will create a portfolio of coursework that includes practice exercises, knowledge checks, and other elements designed to drive knowledge retention for adult learners around the surgical care of patients. This exempt position will report to the CQI Instructional Design Manager in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care.

It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote. *Please submit a portfolio with resume* Primary Responsibilities: Develop design documents and/or storyboards and scripts outlining instructional objectives, methods, and assessment plans; design learning interactions for presentations and webinars in consultation with team. Execute instructional design plans, using visual design skills and multimedia development skills, to develop engaging and effective learning experiences. Work collaboratively with internal team and external partners to design, develop and deliver fully online and blended courses, as well as technology-enhanced instructional materials, focusing on learner-centered experiences and most effective use of instructional resources. Work with project management lead to ensure that quality deliverables are produced to meet project timelines. Other duties as assigned. Required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. 4+ years of instructional design experience developing online and in-person learning is required. Experience using Articulate 360 software, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video editing software such as Camtasia, is required. Familiarity working with Learning Management Systems is required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat; comfortable learning new software when required. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
