Band 1H Primary Responsibilities: Check front office accounting records for accuracy and summarize daily hotel financial records. Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other hotel operating statistics. Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day. Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts, including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier. Post the appropriate daily charges to guest accounts including late night room service and golf course revenue. Process guest charges voucher, credit card and transfer charges and deposits to master accounts. Audit all charges assigned to the appropriate departments. Verify that all transactions performed by Guest Services are supported by documentary evidence and appropriate signatures. Verify all charges posted from the POS to guest folios and ensure accuracy. Verify room rates are correct and post to guest accounts. Monitor the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs. Able to perform Guest Service Ambassador tasks. Prepare end of day procedure by following the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist. Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures. Balance the day’s charges and make corrections as necessary. Run end of day process in Opera. Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts. Know how to operate Opera and other front office equipment. Respond to guest needs, complaints, and services. Update manager when necessary. Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks with various departments and guests. Ensure familiarity with all hotel services/features to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times. Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned. Other Duties: Perform general cashiering procedures. Generate reports as required. Follow all company policies and procedures. Working Conditions: Air-conditioned office environment. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours throughout work shift. Work Hours: Schedule will be based on operational needs. Equipment Use: Ability to masterfully utilize the following systems: Opera, Saflok, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Micros POS, and other systems utilized in Front Office area. Accurate typing skills of 40 words per minute. Mental and Physical Demands: Ability to handle irate guests and remain calm and friendly. Ability to work under pressure, manage stressful situations, and multi-task. Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Communication Demands: Ability to verbally communicate in person and over the phone. Ability to follow verbal or written instructions. Proficiency in English (oral and written) to effectively perform job functions. Minimum 3 years hotel experience (preferred 3 years Front Office). Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.
