Band 1 PRH Staff Accountant Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for financial statement preparation, billings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, tax compliance, audit, among other duties and responsibilities for PRH and its related companies. Essential Duties: Prepare journal entries and assists in month-end procedures. Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Generate monthly financial reports for PRH and its related companies. Prepares the monthly, semi-annual, and annual general excise tax for PRH and its related companies. Process and manage accounts payable duties for PRH. Assists with weekly Cash Flow Reports for the Prince Resorts Hawaii. Manages office supply orders. Responsible for ordering office supplies for Accounting Department. Performs other duties as assigned by manager. Other Duties: Attends meetings and briefings as required. Assist and provide back up for other Accounting and HR positions as needed. Working Conditions: Normal office conditions Minimal neighbor island travel required. Work Hours: Normal Monday to Friday; 40 hour work week. Must be able to work weekends and in excess of 40 hours as needed. Equipment Use: Proficient in the use of a computer and with the resort's word, spreadsheet, and accounting related software. Ability to use telephone Ability to use various office equipment including but not limited to calculators, photocopiers, and facsimile machines. Mental and Physical Demands: Able to work under pressure with short deadlines. High degree of concentration and attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry. Ability to sort, check, count and verify numbers. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently. Flexibility to adapt to all situations. Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgement. Able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Communication Demands: Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of employees and department managers. Ability to communicate effectively over the phone. Minimum Qualification Requirements: Associate Degree in accounting, finance or related field. Three years of relevant work experience with at least two years accounting experience.
