Overview Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Senior Logistician to lead a team of talented consultants providing general integrated product support (IPS) to PMS-317, who is responsible for a portfolio of weapon systems and capabilities under PEO Ships. This individual will lead, supervise, and manage a team of junior and senior logisticians to effectively execute a variety of deliverables for PMS-317. The ideal candidate has significant experience with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Responsibilities
Lead the Nakupuna and subcontractor team of logisticians by providing strategic direction that is aligned with the mission and strategy of PMS-317.
Interface consistently with government leadership team to align efforts and resources, resolve issues, and provide advice/recommendations.
Manage resources within the logistics functional area to ensure exceptional performance while meeting timelines.
Provide resolutions to conflict or discipline related issues within the logistics team and keep the Program Manager apprised of all issues.
Assist in the preparation of logistics planning documents including system analyses, requirement analyses, financial/budget planning documentation, and application analyses.
Prepare Product Support Management (PSM) planning and acquisition documentation required in accordance with latest DoD 5000.02 series from program inception for the life cycle support and maintenance of the class.
Assist in planning, execution, coordination, integration, and oversight of all IPS activities and projects.
Assist with conducting and reviewing ILS analyses to ensure supportability product integration.
Assist in the planning, identification, development, implementation, integration, and monitoring of ILS processes and strategies.
Support the integration of all logistics activities related to the development, design, production, and Life Cycle support for assigned product lines.
Assist in the planning, coordination, execution, and issue resolution for Program Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA).
Conduct research relative to alternative support strategies and provide reports that identify high cost equipment.
Prepare, maintain, and produce monthly metrics briefs utilizing Model Based Product Support (MBPS).
Prepare Allowance Change Request (ACRs) / Allowance Exception Request (AERs) for Program Office approval.
Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements and best practices.
Identify new business opportunities on the program and nurture relationships for existing and new work in the future.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a supply chain or managerial discipline required.
Relevant experience performing managerial work in support of a DoD acquisition program.
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in integrated logistics support.
Work Location:
Washington Navy Yard with a hybrid work option.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government-issued CAC and possess a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges. The projected compensation range for this position is $129,500.00 to $161,500.00 (annualized USD).
