$173,399.98 New York Life Insurance Company seeks Corporate Vice President in Lebanon, NJ, to work to ensure properly integrated testing across technological areas supporting end-to-end testing. This role involves performing automation of manual test cases and setting standards for future automation. Responsibilities include performing database, flat files, and ETL (extract transform load) validation from source to target using complex SQL scripts, validating multiple analytical reports and client communications, and tracking key testing metrics while ensuring regular communication of progress towards overall testing goals to project and business stakeholders. The candidate will perform functional, database, and end-to-end (E2E) testing using various technologies and tools such as Orchestrator, Oracle, RESTful, SOAP web services, JSON files, Talend, and batch applications. Participation in daily huddles, planning sessions, and project retrospectives for assigned initiatives is expected. The role also involves designing test scenarios and scripts, executing test cases, and validating business and transformation rules. Troubleshooting and triaging with multiple teams to drive root cause identification and resolution is essential. The candidate will lead testing efforts for medium to large projects, including task assignment and progress reporting to key stakeholders. Identifying what can be leveraged from automation versus manual testing and building automation coverage is also part of the role. Requires:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester or experience performing testing across integration, functional, regression, ETL, databases, cloud applications, and highly integrated complex systems; or alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester or experience performing testing across integration, functional, regression, ETL, databases, cloud applications, and highly integrated complex systems. Specific skills/other requirements:
Experience must include building and developing Quality Assurance (QA) strategies and implementing “best practices” for automation leveraging Agile methodology and test-driven development (TDD) frameworks; developing test frameworks and test cases leveraging stored procedures, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), JIRA, JSON files, SOAPUI, Postman, and cloud data; building, executing, and analyzing automation test suites for SSIS business rules, data quality, case management, extract, transform, load (ETL) (including SSIS, Ab Initio, and Informatica), user experience, user dashboards, and reports (including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PowerBI, Cognos, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE); developing complex SQL scripts and automating source to target data validation, flat files, and Excel for database checks, transformation rules, and business logic validation leveraging Oracle, MS SQL Server, and SnowFlake databases; and mentoring senior and mid-level technology professionals across distributed geographies to strategize and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
