You'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, ensuring product excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs. This category leader will have a strong background in intralogistics and automation with a focus on conveyance, automation and material handling solutions. Chicago, IL . Major Responsibilities: Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy for conveying technologies that allow growth in Intralogistics. Define and execute differentiated product roadmaps aligned with business objectives to deliver solutions for highly automated environments. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to influence the product roadmap. Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life. Define pricing strategies and product positioning. Monitor product performance, analyze sales data, and recommend improvements. Product Development: Ability to translate market analysis and voice of the customer into executable marketing specifications for new product development. Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to design, develop, and launch new products. Complete market and product requirement documentation for new product concepts. Ensure timely execution of product development projects. Familiarity with gated NPD product development. Market Analysis and Customer Insights: Conduct market research to understand customer pain points, preferences, and emerging trends. Gather insights from customers, sales teams, and industry experts to inform product decisions. Monitor competitive offerings and adjust product strategies accordingly. Identify threats and substitutes to product categories and develop strategies to mitigate impact. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and customer service teams. Provide product training and support to internal stakeholders. Quality and Compliance: Ensure product compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications. Address quality issues promptly and drive continuous improvement. Experience and Skills Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant B2B product management and new product marketing/commercialization experience in the industrial manufacturing industry. Background in industrial automation, robotics and warehouse operations. Willingness to travel 20-30%. Position will have direct reports, comfort leading and mentoring a team supporting growth and development. Preferred Experience: Knowledge of product/container handling components, systems, industries a plus. Experience building new product channel preferred.
