We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Specialist - Community Engagement - to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This role involves leading community engagement efforts to support the planning, development, and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing community resilience and mitigating risks.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement community engagement strategies to ensure meaningful participation from local stakeholders in projects. Identify, contact, and build relationships with community stakeholders, including local governments, community organizations, and residents. Organize and facilitate public meetings, workshops, and forums to gather community input and provide project updates. Create and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters, fact sheets, and social media content, to keep the community informed about project progress and opportunities for involvement. Collect, analyze, and incorporate feedback from community stakeholders into project planning and implementation. Work collaboratively with project teams, including planners, engineers, and other specialists, to integrate community input into project designs and plans. Provide education and training to community members about resilience, hazard mitigation, and the objectives of projects. Ensure all community engagement activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Maintain accurate and organized records of community engagement activities, feedback, and outcomes.

Must have experience and be an expert with PCs, MS Office, Adobe, Google Mail, Citrix Sharefile (or other online platforms), and online meeting platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom

Education:

BA/BS degree in a related field required (for example, Urban Planning, Communications, Sociology, or a related field) Relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, public relations, or a related role. Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

Work Environment:

This position is open to candidates nationwide and is remote with site work as required by customer.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $59,000-130,000/year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. SRE considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, SRE adheres to all state and federal requirements regarding salary to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SRE's total compensation package for employees.
