Pershing X is a start-up unit designed to incubate, engineer, and deliver breakthrough solutions that will transform the advisory market. Pershing X will deliver the industry's leading end-to-end advisory platform, helping financial service firms solve the challenge of managing multiple and disconnected technology tools and data sets for their advisors and fueling our clients' business growth. We are a collaborative and fast-growing team working on exciting and innovative digital product offerings.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: The Pershing X Relationship Manager will be responsible for engaging in complex sales opportunities as well as developing strategic account plans designed to manage and grow existing client relationships, with a focus on revenue growth across all Pershing X products and services. Demonstrate understanding of client's business and growth strategies including current and future focus of each firm to identify new and cross sell opportunities for incremental revenue growth. Develop the strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships, with a focus on revenue retention. Serve in a consultative role to the client, advising on the best way to achieve short- and long-term strategic objectives. Consult with clients on their strategic vision and how the firm can help them achieve that vision. Manage overall relationship profitability of assigned client portfolio. Responsible for pricing of all contracts for Pershing X products and services. Build and maintain strong client relationships, at the most senior levels within Pershing X Broker Dealer, Trust, and Registered Investment Advisor segments. Promote firm services/product offerings that solve client challenges and achieve account growth. Research client issues and bring to resolution. Continually evaluate client needs and ensure sustained client engagement. Attend client meetings and host demos to continuously enhance knowledge base and promote technology application advancement within an organization. Keep abreast of client account activity occurring throughout the firm and may serve as the ultimate escalation point for client satisfaction. Develop, track, and report on relationship strategy/results for assigned client portfolio. May assist with prospecting new clients in a similar industry or segment of existing clients. Assigned as the Pershing X expert for a particular client segment, process, or product. Extensive knowledge in Advisory Business, Data, and Market forces changing the financial services industry. Coordination with all Internal Pershing X Sales, Product, Service, and Support teams to achieve overall firm level goals and objectives. Regularly attend conferences to remain visible in the market and remain current on industry trends and competitor service offerings. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 5-7 years of total work experience preferred. 3 years of relationship management experience required. Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.) preferred as is prior experience in Relationship Management, Client Services, or Account Management. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
