Our client at LHH is looking for a Quality Supervisor to join their growing team!

Job Summary:

The Quality Supervisor y oversees the quality control and assurance of wastewater treatment processes. They ensure that the plant operates in compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards, and that treated water meets safety and quality guidelines before discharge or reuse. The supervisor is responsible for managing a team of technicians, coordinating laboratory testing, and implementing corrective actions to optimize treatment processes and improve overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Team Leadership:

    • Lead and supervise quality control staff, including lab technicians and plant operators, ensuring accurate sampling, testing, and analysis of wastewater.

    • Train team members on quality control protocols, safety measures, and regulatory compliance.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Oversee and maintain the quality management system (QMS) to meet or exceed regulatory requirements such as EPA, local environmental laws, and ISO standards.

    • Review and analyze test results, identify deviations or abnormalities, and initiate corrective actions to ensure consistent water quality.

    • Implement process improvements for better treatment efficiency and compliance with discharge requirements.

  • Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Monitor all stages of the wastewater treatment process, including inflow, processing, and discharge.

    • Compile detailed reports on plant performance, quality metrics, and non-compliance issues for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

    • Investigate quality issues, coordinate root cause analysis, and document corrective actions to mitigate recurring issues.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all operations meet local, state, and federal wastewater treatment regulations and health safety standards.

    • Collaborate with environmental engineers and compliance teams to prepare for audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.

    • Stay updated on changes to environmental laws and regulations, and adjust operations to maintain compliance.

  • Process Optimization:

    • Work closely with operations teams to optimize wastewater treatment processes, chemical usage, and energy consumption to achieve cost savings while maintaining high-quality standards.

    • Analyze trends in treatment data to make recommendations for operational improvements.

  • Safety and Environmental Stewardship:

    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team.

    • Ensure all employees adhere to safety protocols and proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.

  • Customer and Community Relations:

    • Maintain strong communication with clients, customers, or communities impacted by wastewater operations.

    • Handle customer complaints or concerns related to water quality, ensuring prompt investigation and resolution.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, or water quality assurance.

  • Previous supervisory experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, quality control procedures, and laboratory techniques.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations such as EPA, OSHA, and ISO standards.

  • Proficient in using data analysis software and lab testing equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
