Who We Are

HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Management Analyst for our HII Nuclear, Maritime Operations Team at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, VA.

As part of the HII Nuclear Maritime Operations group, our professionals have access to a rare and unique professional development program that is intended to prepare our employees for life-long success with our HII affiliates supporting different Department of Energy sites and contracts around the country.

In this role, you will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to drive project success through effective analysis and reporting.

What You Will Do

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

What You Must Have

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

Candidate must be proficient in the use of desktop or personal computers with associated software (i.e., word processing, graphics, database, spreadsheets, etc.) or other computer products as required by the applicable discipline.

Candidate must have prior project management experience.

Candidate must have excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Candidate must have a strong understanding of project management methodologies.

Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to various audiences.

Candidate must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate must have strong organizational skills.

Candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
