Vaco Dallas is seeking qualified candidates for an Endpoint Engineer for a Fort Worth, TX based client, with a national footprint.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of endpoint devices across the organization for over 4,000 end-users, ensuring they are protected against emerging threats while supporting productivity and compliance.
The ideal candidate will deeply understand endpoint security strategies, have a strong background in assessing IT landscapes, and have extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Autopilot.
It is preferred that candidates be local to the Fort Worth, TX market, and willing/able to work onsite - yet, our client is willing to consider remote candidates.
Candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.

Job Scope:
Landscape Assessment:
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current IT environment to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in endpoint management.
Design and Architecture:
Develop and implement robust endpoint security architectures and strategies using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Azure.
Security Management:
Manage security settings, including antivirus, encryption, firewalls, and threat protection on all endpoint devices.
Policy Development:
Create and enforce security policies and procedures for endpoint devices, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Azure Integration:
Architect and integrate endpoint security solutions with Azure Active Directory and other Azure services to enhance security and streamline management processes.
Tool Identification:
Identify and document the necessary tools and technologies required for the successful deployment and management of endpoint devices.
Automation and Optimization:
Develop automation solutions using scripting languages like PowerShell to optimize endpoint management tasks and improve security posture.
Incident Management:
Lead the response to security incidents involving endpoint devices, conducting in-depth investigations and applying corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Performance Monitoring:
Continuously monitor endpoint security metrics and performance, using data to identify vulnerabilities and implement improvements.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with IT teams and end users to provide expert guidance on endpoint security issues and ensure optimal device performance.
Documentation and Training:
Maintain detailed documentation of endpoint security configurations, processes, and incident responses. Develop and deliver training sessions to improve user awareness and security practices.
Project Leadership:
Lead the endpoint update project, collaborating with Vaco Managed Services for the Field Services component, and ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within budget.
Must-Have Skills Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in endpoint management, solution architecture, security engineering, or a similar background.
A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, and Autopilot for device management and deployment.
Proven experience in assessing IT landscapes, designing endpoint solutions, and documenting tools for implementation.
In-depth knowledge of endpoint management and optimization technologies.
5+ years of experience and/or expertise in Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, and other security services.
Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell, for automation and configuration management.
Understanding advanced security concepts like zero trust, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and mobile device management (MDM).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on optimization.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications:
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, and other relevant security certifications.
