POSITION SUMMARY:
Process Engineer III shall lead the process and mechanical engineering efforts on Renewable Natural Gas projects. Process development and lead engineering may also be required in other sectors such as Oil & Gas, Refineries, Pharmaceutical, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive the specification, selection and purchase of process equipment including but not limited to: pumps, heat exchangers, pressure relief devices, gas compressors, gas cleaning equipment, and deoxidizers.
Drive the development of all Process facility Design, Review, Bid, and Installation scope/spec/drawing packages.
Perform pipeline sizing and specification using Pipe-Flo software.
Perform fluid flow (gas and water) calculations and design pressure control and safety measures.
Select all Materials of Construction for process equipment, mechanical equipment, and piping.
Define controls narrative, control scheme, and necessary instruments.
Evaluate and utilize applicable code requirements.
Develop process flow diagrams and material balances.
Develop, review, and refine project P&IDs.
Conduct HAZOPs (executed by others but managed by process engineer).
Develop and/or assist with proposals for clients.
Apply knowledge of standard practices in the industry and industry standards and codes.
Serve as the primary resource for the start-up and commissioning of the process/project.
Travel domestically and internationally ranging from 0-15% per year.
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office and uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions is possible for a short period of time—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures. Must be able to travel to job sites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear; and work in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required.

SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in
Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
is required.
Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in process and mechanical engineering is required.
PE registration is strongly preferred.
Experience leading and driving process engineering efforts on projects.
Process simulation experience beyond a basic level is preferred.
Development of PFD’s, Material Balances, P&ID’s, process simulations, datasheets and calculations.
Process knowledge of PFD’s and P&ID’s is required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills; both oral and written is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs are required.
Ability to work flexible hours and some weekend work may be required.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

Qualifications: - Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.

- Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A minimum of a Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics from a regionally accredited (or equivalent) institution of higher education.
OR
A Master's degree from a regionally accredited (or equivalent) institution of higher education with 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics.
