Position: Optometrist
Location: Northfield, Ohio
Shift: 1st Shift, flexible scheduling between Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-2 times per month for approximately 8 hours each day)
Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to join our team in Northfield, Ohio. This role involves conducting routine, periodic, and emergency eye examinations using specialized diagnostic equipment to assess and treat visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine eye examinations and use diagnostic tools (e.g., refractometer, ophthalmoscope) to identify vision defects. Determine corrective treatment needs and refer patients to physicians when necessary. Prescribe, fit, adjust, and repair glasses for patients. Consult with other healthcare professionals regarding eye pathology and treatment plans. Plan and direct comprehensive eye screening programs. Instruct patients on proper eye care and maintenance of eyeglasses. Write medical and technical reports as needed.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school. Valid state optometry license. Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of eye care procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations.
