Responsibilities:
- Complete initial psychiatric assessment, physical evaluation, and psychiatric work-up
- Provide psychotherapy, psychopharmacological therapy, and other therapies in accordance with clinical privileges
- Confer with case managers, mental health agencies, community social workers, and physicians
- Consult with families
- Discharge planning and complete summaries in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations
- Make referrals and request consultations with external facilities
- Provide medical record documentation meeting Joint Commission and federal standards
- Provide coverage for Admission Office
- Participate in, attend, and facilitate meetings
- Attend court hearings
Additional Details:
- This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit, with a pay range of #P1.
- Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare, 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067.
- The salary is negotiable based on qualifications, with scheduled increases and benefits.
- Requires certification to practice medicine, completion of residency in psychiatry, and relevant experience.
