Summary About the Position: This temporary IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/NETWORK) position is located at the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, Intelligence and Electronics Warfare Test Directorate (IEWTD), with a duty location of Fort Huachuca, Arizona. (merit) Responsibilities Serves as the directorate Information System Security Office (ISSO) to Intelligence and Electronics Warfare Test Directorate (IEWTD) to provide support in the planning, operations and execution of operational tests. Serves as a network information management officer. Plans, conducts and reports operational tests, assessments and experiments for the acquisition and fielding of Warfighting systems. Applies analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and advanced Information Technology (IT) systems and projects to meet the business regulatory and cybersecurity requirements of customer organizations. Work requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion and knowledge of IT programs, principles, concepts, policies, and objectives in order to perform duties. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying cybersecurity principles and/or concepts to support the protection of information; and 2) Identifying vulnerabilities to make recommendations for correction or advising on cybersecurity policy and/or guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using specialized experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Temporary Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment NTE one (1) year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years.
