About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team in Duluth, GA. This position is responsible for the full life-cycle project management of multiple large projects involving motors, generators, controls and protection systems, from the time of the order entry until the installation and final acceptance by the customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical integration of all components of WEG Energy integrated projects (motors, generators, control and protection systems, installation-).
Review customer documentation for technical and administrative requirements and establish and execute plans to satisfy WEG-s responsibilities.
Interface closely with involved project parties to ensure clear understanding of the expectations as outlined in the project contracts / purchase orders - both from WEG-s customers to WEG, and from WEG to involved suppliers and contractors.
Develop and place purchase orders to suppliers / contractors.
Facilitate decision-making while considering cost, schedule, and quality obligations.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education:
High School or GED required. Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline is highly preferred.
Knowledge / training:
Strong working knowledge of electrical industrial equipment including power electronics and totating machines and how this equipment work as a system.
Knowledge of basic industry standards such as; NEMA, IEC, IEEE, UL, etc.
Solid Microsoft office knowledge is required.
Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
Proven capabilities in the Energy industry in roles related to project engineering.
project sales and/or project management are desired.
Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings & schematics.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Proactive attitude and capability to think outside the box.
High-level organizational skills combined with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience:
3+ years industry experience.
