Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Aston Carter has partnered with a top company in the Kansas City metro area that is seeking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst! Our client is seeking candidates with strong financial systems experience and experience working on an ERP implementation/upgrade, preferably Oracle.
Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Accounting/Finance department in various accounting or financial systems projects and tasks. This role will involve accounting processes, documentation of current and future accounting processes, analyzing system requirements, troubleshooting system issues, and participating in implementations to support the overall organization. The Senior Financial Analyst's responsibilities will vary depending on the department's needs, particularly due to an ERP transformation project and other initiatives involving financial needs and improvements.
Responsibilities:
Execute accounting tasks or work with teams to complete deliverables.
Gather and document functional business processes and requirements, and propose possible solutions.
Act as a liaison between the Accounting/Finance business and IT, understanding both business and technical sides of projects.
Develop and execute detailed test scripts for validating system solutions.
Create training materials and present training to end-users.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of financial/accounting systems experience.
Experience with ERP implementation or upgrade.
Experience with Oracle applications, specifically Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud preferred.
SQL and/or business analyst experience is a plus.
Proficient in accounting principles (GAAP), analysis, and financial systems.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment:
The role requires working in the office five days per week, with core hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. The work environment includes a very nice campus and headquarters.
