Job Description

As a Case Pick Operator, you will work in the warehouse on your feet, using an RF gun to locate and pick product to a pallet or overpack case. You will move inventory from drop zones using a walkie-rider or pallet jack and de-stage product into Pick Mod. The various warehouse/pick activities are done by utilizing the WMS through either radio frequency (RF) equipment, pick-to-light technologies, or computer-based workstations. You could work in various departments such as Receiving, Case Pick Modules, Shipping, Returns, DEA, Freezer, and Refrigerated space. You will handle case quantities, build pallets for extended periods, and perform replenishments in the Refrigerator and Freezer. Other tasks include retrieving replenishments from drop zones, operating a powered stretch-wrap machine, building and breaking down pallets, verifying inventory levels through cycle counts, and conducting assorted WMS tasks. You will focus on quality and accuracy as part of the company-wide goal: Quality First, and display the values of Caring, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (CHART).

Responsibilities

Locate and pick product using an RF gun.

Move inventory using a walkie-rider or pallet jack.

De-stage product into Pick Mod.

Perform warehouse/pick activities utilizing WMS through RF equipment, pick-to-light technologies, or computer-based workstations.

Work in various departments such as Receiving, Case Pick Modules, Shipping, Returns, DEA, Freezer, and Refrigerated space.

Handle case quantities and build pallets for extended periods.

Perform replenishments in the Refrigerator and Freezer.

Retrieve replenishments from drop zones and deliver to pick modules using a pallet jack.

Operate a powered stretch-wrap machine.

Build and break down pallets as needed.

Verify inventory levels in locations by performing cycle counts.

Conduct assorted WMS tasks such as receiving incoming materials, counting, sorting, verification of item numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, counting, data entering, and other visual verifications.

Use a pallet jack and potentially be trained to use a walkie-rider.

Perform other assigned tasks as directed by management.

Essential Skills

1+ years of picking experience.

Knowledge of RF scanner and its operation.

Basic math and counting skills.

Basic computer and calculator skills.

Experience with inventory, forklift, material handling, pallet jack, labeling, warehouse inventory, and shipping and receiving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Attention to detail.

Takes time to learn and improve from mistakes.

Shows care and understanding of quality over quantity.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and not very loud, with climate control set at 71 degrees year-round. You will have breaks of 2x 15 minutes and 1x 30-minute lunch. The pay period is from Sunday to Saturday, and overtime on weekends is voluntary. Some jobs will involve working in a cold container (refrigerator) with the option to wear a jacket as long as it does not have a hood and is not oversized.
